Meet an Author: Mark Leiren-Young (Online)

Mark Leiren-Young is a Canadian playwright, documentary filmmaker, author, journalist, and humorist. His work spans genres and forms, from screenplays to children’s books. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Writers Guild of Canada’s Screenwriting Award and the Leo Award for Best Screenwriting in a Documentary. He is currently a Professor of Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia and continues to write and direct documentaries and plays. Once upon a StoryWalk

Outdoors at Brodick Park in Saanich
Join us for a StoryWalk, where individual pages of a storybook, mounted on signposts, are placed outdoors in a circuit. Children follow the narrative by visiting each signpost in sequence. Rain or shine; please dress appropriately.
Drop-in anytime and meet at the park, accessible via Hollyridge Place or Brodick Crescent)! Everyone welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult.
StoryWalk was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicylce & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
