Practice conversation, improve your vocabulary, discuss interesting topics, and make new friends!

Our English Conversation Circle is open to everyone who wants to improve their English. Perfect for newcomers whose first language is not English.

This group is facilitated by Victoria Literacy Connection in partnership with Vancouver Island Regional Library.

A free weekly conversation circle for all immigrants, refugees and newcomers to practice English speaking and listening skills, make social connections, and learn about Canadian culture and our local Sooke community.

Sooke Children & Youth Programs

Paws & Tales: Read with Rosie

Tuesdays @ 3:30 -4:30 pm and Thursdays @ 3:30 -4:30 pm

To register, visit the branch or call 250-642-3022 to book a 20-minute slot.

Paws and Tales is a reading program for kids ages 6 and up. Young readers can bring a book and sign up for a 20-minute reading session with Rosie, a certified therapy dog from the Pacific Animal Therapy Society.

An adult must accompany each child.

Lego Club

Tuesdays 3:30-5:00 pm.

Drop-in.

Drop in for some weekly LEGO® building fun at LEGO® Club! We provide the LEGO® (and Duplo) and you provide the imagination every Tuesday afternoon. Connect with other kids and break out the bricks for a building bonanza at the library.

Best suited for ages 6-12. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

STEAM Tinker Wednesdays & Sundays

Wednesdays, Starting Oct. 2 @ 4:00-5:00 pm

Sundays, Starting Sep. 22 @ 2:00-4:00 pm
